Great story! Some interesting reflections on sobriety, relationships, and public drunkenness. I liked the part about circles shrinking. Sometimes circles don't respond to witty comments and that's hurtful. Your response matters to some of us! And how about those chicken nuggets!? I love nuggets. And Tom Cochrane. Yes, a great story.

I thought you'd appreciate the Life is a Highway bit. Baldfaced liars are some of my favourite characters, along with overly confiident characters, highly-sensitive characters, overly serious characters...

Thanks! I'm glad you spotted that. Next week I'm posting about the writing of this piece, and that's the key point really. I wanted the reader to see the protagonist's dysfunctional loop while the character stayed blind to it.
