I think Roger drinks more than one coffee per day, so hopefully when he returns later he is less wrapped up in his own issues and able to pay attention.

You know what, I will write it. Pat told me I am too negative, so how about a good ending?

The reason I ended it this way was to show why people need to be present with each other. If there was no consequence in the end, then so what? I also wanted those who think their lives are meaningless to see that they are probably wrong. They probably mean a great deal to those around them and are a benefit even to strangers. To me, this was a positive message in disguise.

I also find it helpful to remember that Joseph “Coop” Cooper was 35 years old when he left Earth to save humanity. So, there’s still time.
